Everyone has their staple that they like to bring to potlucks (or at least what everyone likes them to bring). For a friend of mine at work, her dish is buffalo chicken dip. This is her recipe...
Buffalo Chicken Dip
1 package cream cheese
2 cups cooked chicken
1/2 cup buffalo sauce - I use Franks Red Hots brand
2 Tbs melted butter
1/2 cup blue cheese dressing
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- Preheat the oven to 300
- Cover the bottom of an 8x8 glass dish with the cream cheese
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, sauce, and butter
- Pour over the cream cheese
- Top with blue cheese dressing and mozzarella
- Bake for 20 min
- Server warm with chips
It's dangerously addictive. The weird thing is that it doesn't look that appetizing. The first time I saw it, I didn't even want to try it, but I was told it was good so I gave it a try!
Even when I brought it over to a party, no one wanted to dive in, but once they did they couldn't stop. I've also seen a variation of this dish in a crock pot instead of a baking dish - that's a good idea too. It looks more like a chicken dip that way.
